Medicine Valley Economic Development Corporation (MVEDC) was formed in 1998 to broaden and stabilize the economic base of the Medicine Valley Area.  The Medicine Valley Area is in Southwest Nebraska and includes the communities of Wellfleet, Maywood, Curtis, Stockville and Moorefield.  In 2004 the voters of Curtis approved an economic development plan and a ½% sales tax to fund it.  These funds can be used for a variety of projects and can be used outside of Curtis in Frontier County.  MVEDC works closely with the Nebraska Department of Economic Development and others to be sure that area businesses are aware of the programs offered to enhance business development.  If you have any questions about MVEDC or the programs available please use the contact information available above.
